URGENT! CALLING ALL DOG LOVERS! We need your help!
One of our little sanctuary dogs has recently been diagnosed with a mast cell tumour. Further tests confirmed that the mass has not spread, but its location (dewlap) means it cannot be surgically removed. Therefore the vet is going to use a different method of removal-Stelfonta injections. These are only effective for mast cell tumours, and work by killing the tumour without surgery. The hole left by the dead tumour then heals from the inside out, like any other wound.
As you would expect, this treatment doesn’t come cheap. Sadly we cannot post pictures of this dog for legal reasons, nor can we give you a name, also for legal reasons, but we can tell you this little soul is one of the sweetest, most affectionate, happy go lucky and fun-loving dogs you could ever meet, and is a huge favourite here.
We want to give this little dog the best care we can, the prognosis is very good once the tumour is off. Please will you help us cover the £1,500 cost of the treatment?
