Smokey is a German Shepherd/Border Collie mix, and he really is half of one, and six of the other!
Like any respectable collie, Smokey loves to be active and has to be continually on the move, playing ball, training and learning. He continually seeks instruction and direction from his human.
Smokey hates being left, and needs to be close to his human. He is alert and reactive, and his deep, German Shepherd alert bark will let you know when any other life form is in the vicinity!
Smokey is scared of other dogs, and nervous of the wider environment. He is still building confidence in walking on the lead. He has a tendency to spook, panic and would bolt if he got the opportunity, so new owners would benefit from working with our recommended trainer to develop confidence, and practice safe handling strategies.
Smokey has huge potential to be the most rewarding and intuitive companion.
He needs patient, calm, capable owners with time on their hands, and the desire to commit to making Smokey their top priority.
He will be the only pet in an adults only environment, and ideally in a quiet, rural property with a good sized, secure lawned garden as he loves to be out and active. New owners will need to be as energetic as Smokey! In typical trendy GSD style, he loves to drape saliva over his muzzle and face, (demonstrated in the first picture) whilst enjoying a game!
