Rottie Zasha is dainty for her breed, and as you can see, incredibly pretty.
Zasha has been a much loved dog, but is ruled by her nervous disposition.
Despite her young age, Zasha is a very complex girl, scared, fear aggressive, guarding and incredibly slow to trust.
It has taken considerable time and patience just to be able to get on terms with her, as she barks aggressively at every unfamiliar human, and even at some familiar ones. She finds it so hard to trust humans.
Once you get to know her, she is the sweetest, most affectionate and cuddly girl who will do (almost) anything for food!
She barks loudly at other dogs, too, but we paired her with a good natured, easy going, non reactive large older male. She took to him instantly. He took her under his wing, as it were, and settled her in, Zasha watching his every move.
She doesn’t like small dogs, male or female.
Zasha has always hated lead walking, and we have seen for ourselves just how much. She lays down on the spot, looking very scared. Our vet has investigated to see if there is a physical reason for her reluctance, but can find nothing untoward. Her reluctance appears to be psychological.
We have made some progress, and she will now walk down from her kennel block and round the yard, with much stopping, starting and coaxing. She is a work in progress.
Zasha will need experienced, capable owners with infinite patience, a calm disposition, and lots of time to invest in this sweet girl. She will benefit and gain confidence from having one to one sessions with our recommended trainer.
Experience of her breed will be an advantage.
Adults only for Zasha, please.
